The National League of Cities (NLC) is partnering with WastewaterSCAN, a nationwide effort to expand wastewater monitoring to more cities. WastewaterSCAN employs a leading approach for monitoring diseases through municipal wastewater systems to inform public health responses. NLC is reaching out to our network of cities to invite you to take advantage of WastewaterSCAN’s expansion.

Through this partnership, WastewaterSCAN will test wastewater from participating cities three times a week for at least one year at no cost (including materials and shipping expenses) and share the results. Participating cities also can participate in NLC’s WastewaterSCAN Learning Cohort, peer-supported, knowledge-sharing community whose learnings will contribute to improved nationwide pandemic-readiness infrastructure.

If your city is interested in being a part of WastewaterSCAN’s testing and NLC’s WastewaterSCAN Learning Cohort, please fill out the form below.

If you have any questions please contact us at wwcohort@nlc.org.
